How to Prepare Your Driveway for a Roll-Off Dumpster
Protecting concrete, clearing access, and picking a spot.
Space the truck needs
A roll-off truck needs roughly 60 feet of straight length, 10 feet of width, and 23 feet of vertical clearance to place and retrieve a container. Low branches, carport overhangs, and utility lines are the usual obstacles.
Protecting the surface
We place plywood or planks under the container rails on request. That spreads the load and prevents the wheel and rail marks that can show on newer concrete or sealed pavers. Asphalt is more vulnerable than concrete during Valley summers and should always be boarded.
Clearing the way
Move vehicles, trash cans, and basketball hoops before the delivery window. Note where the sprinkler heads and irrigation valves are. Decide which way you want the door to face, because loading through the swing door instead of over the wall saves a surprising amount of effort.
Talk It Through With Someone Local
Guides only get you so far. If you describe your project on the phone, we can usually size the container and quote it in a couple of minutes. Call (559) 553-4380 or request a quote online.
